Camp Earthshine 2022
2022 Camping Trip Highlights!
Earlier this month, The Oak Room students (grades 4-6) attended Camp Earthshine. Camp Earthshine was an opportunity for the students to bring the classroom outside into nature.
Through teamwork and community building, students were able to connect to their classmates as well as deepen their knowledge of the science units we studied this school year.
There were a total of 26 people on the trip – 20 students, 3 teachers, and 3 parent volunteers. We raised $10,000 to attend the trip through our work at Farmers Market, Pizza Fridays, and the car wash.
Some of the activities that we participated in were: rock climbing, wilderness survival skills, watershed and water cycle information, as well as a scavenger hunt through the woods (AdventureQuest).
It really was an awesome experience!
