Art Program – April Update
Happy Spring Break and Greetings From the Studio!
We had such a wonderful time working on the group projects for the Belles and Bowties gala and thank everyone for their dedication to and support of our beautiful young artists! There was a great deal of excitement generated as the paintings were created and then displayed in the hallway in preparation for their trip to the venue. Good energy all around!
In the primary building we have been practicing our lines and brush strokes for our upcoming Garden Party project as well as enjoying considerable freedom in process-oriented art projects. Elementary friends have painting 100% Habotai silk sarongs alongside cotton onesies to be sold at Farmer’s Market after Spring Break. Watching the gleeful expressions on friends’ faces they plumped up their special applicator sponges to deliver paint to the silk was priceless! Group projects and painting wearable art are definitely crowd favorites at MRM and we are so pleased to be able to offer this fiber arts project to our students!
Please keep your creative practice alive over spring break – it’s a great way to relax and spend time!
