Middle School: Japanese Art Special

Special Highlight

This week, the middle school students are learning from a special local Japanese artisan, Aki Kato. Aki specializes in fine art, murals, and hand-painted furniture. He has been invited in by Haiku artist Miho Kinnas, who has also been a guest instructor this month.

Pictured here is the class working with Sumi ink and rice paper. Miho and Aki can be seen providing guidance and encouragement.

We love to see our students exploring other cultures and getting their hands dirty in the process!
